I curiously search for the root function and key to solution for even the unhealthiest of behaviors in a warm, engaging and confidential therapeutic relationship which becomes the foundation for lasting change. - Families with Special Needs Members
I have devoted my career to strengthening families, starting with my work as a nurse specializing in maternal child health. As a family therapist, I focus on the strength of each member to facilitate future emotional growth within the family unit. I enjoy working with couples to enhance their marriage and to find a new appreciation for themselves as well as their partners. I believe that growth occurs when individuals are willing to be vulnerable with their challenges, and accept others in their family with their struggles. As one family member becomes stronger and healthier, the entire family benefits. I enjoy working with various populations, including families with special needs children for their medical concerns as well as their emotional needs. I am an optimistic person who believes that there is always hope, and that attitudes and behaviors can be altered for the benefit of all family members. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and adult children, as well as swimming, ballet, and watching my favorite baseball team.
