Heather focuses on the solution focused treatment of individuals, couples and families struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, divorce, behavioral difficulties, high conflict, parent child conflict, life cycle issues, athletic performance issues, and life cycle changes (birth, aging, death). Her clinical experience spans across 25+ years and includes being a Therapeutic companion,  In-home and outpatient family therapist, and Clinician working with severely disabled adults and their families. She is also an experienced Guest Speaker and provides community education on attuning to the whole-child, parenting, and marriage.  She serves as guest lecturer at Montclair State University presenting on the whole-brained approach to engaging families in the educational setting and sits on the Editorial Review Board for the American Psychotherapy Association.

Susan has over 25 years of experience in working with adults, children and families in a variety of settings. She’s worked at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ as a mental health clinician working with children and families at University Behavioral Health Care and in the Early Intervention Program  providing developmental intervention and family counseling. She served as a School Psychologist in Harmony Township, NJ and maintained a private practice in Cresskill, NJ as well as worked as a Mental Health Consultant in southeastern Massachusetts.

Colette specializes in clinical work that focuses on adolescent females and issues regarding self-esteem, self-mutilative disorders and eating disorders. She is also skilled in working in substance abuse, anxiety, family and marital counseling, and working with young children of alcoholics and/or those dealing with the divorce of parents. She has developed many programs over the years to help young girls through the ups and downsof life; including a nutritional wellness program at Daytop Treatment Center.

John Cerrato, LCADC, ICADC   

John has over 30 years of experience treating adults, adolescents and their families struggling with drug and alcohol dependency as well as other family and couples issues.  He is one of the three founders in opening up and developing the Daytop-Mendham residential program where he served as the Family Therapy Director.  He also served in other critical leadership roles such as Clinical Director and Outpatient Director. 

 

“I practice using a structural family therapy model which examines and addresses issues in family functioning that continue to support a problem.  I help clients feel at ease while searching for solutions and positive behavior change in treatment.  I am also currently working at High Focus Centers with Adult and Adolescent Co-occurring populations, and I am honored to have been named a Top Counselor in Mendham by the International Association of Health Care Professionals (IAHCP).  My personal interests include family and physical fitness.”

Jennifer has over 25 years of experience working with adolescents and their families in residential, outpatient and in school settings. She worked at a residential and outpatient substance abuse facility where she was the Family Therapy Supervisor and Outpatient Director conducting individual, group and family sessions. She has been trained at the Minuchin Center for the Family in the structural family therapy approach and currently also works as a Student Assistance Counselor where she provides counseling services, crisis management, and intervention services. She has experience with assisting adolescents through grief and trauma issues, and works collaboratively with other mental health professionals to provide the best services to her clients.

Donna has devoted her career to strengthening families, starting with her work as a nurse specializing in maternal child health. As a family therapist, she focuses on the strength of each member to facilitate future emotional growth within the family unit. She enjoys working with couples to enhance their marriage and to find a new appreciation for themselves as well as their partners. She believes that growth occurs when individuals are willing to be vulnerable with their challenges, and to accept others within their family with their own struggles. As one family member becomes stronger and healthier, the entire family benefits. Donna is adept at working with various populations, including families with special needs children for their medical concerns as well as their emotional needs.

Sara has over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents and families struggling with anxiety, special education needs, depression, family conflict and various  life adjustments. As a lifelong learner, I have completed classes to be an educational supervisor, as well as supervisor to social workers. I am also an adjunct Professor at William Paterson University in the Special Education/Counseling department teaching classes under the Disabilities studies minor, and I currently work in a school for children with disabilities.

I also enjoy incorporating mindfulness into sessions, while I empower my clients to become the best versions of themselves."

Charlotte is pursuing her Master of Social Work at Rutgers University School of Social Work and is supporting Bridges in its community outreach initiatives while training as a social work professional. She aspires to expand and share her life experiences in the field of social work and counseling by advocating and working with teens and young adults in the LGBTQ+ community as well as teens and adults with depression and anxiety.

On a personal note, Charlotte is a mom to three adult children, loves gardening, nature walks, cooking and family. She is warm, conscientious, creative and dedicated to supporting others in their growth.

Ariana Esposito

Ariana is pursuing her Master‘s Degree in Professional Counseling at Seton Hall University and is interning at Bridges while she trains to become an LPC. Ariana is interested in focusing on Marriage and Family Counseling. She is also passionate about women’s issues, particularly with regard to healthcare. Ariana has had experience working as an intern for the Office of The Public Defender in Newark, NJ where she assisted in interviewing clients with mental health issues and finding alternatives to incarceration for these clients.

She works directly with insurance companies, problem-solving when necessary, to create an easy, hassle-free experience. Her background includes marketing, sales, customer service, education and charitable fundraising.  

 

“Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to call a therapist, and my goal is to make the process as easy as possible with a friendly, down to earth approach.  I truly enjoy talking with clients to understand their concerns and feel good about being able to assist in getting them the help they need while taking away some of their workload  administratively.  I aim to provide efficient, professional customer service and am always available to answer questions or act on a client’s behalf.”
